The Acting Director of Immigration, Felix Yaw Sarpong, has warned personnel of the Service that his administration would not tolerate any acts of insubordination, indiscipline, and the wanton abandoning of duty post.
He further charged Supervisors to do effective supervision of the staff under their command otherwise they would be held accountable for their actions and inactions. In a speech at a guard of honour held here in Accra,

He recommended the need for personnel to have total transformational attitude towards work, and provide professional service to the Service’s clients.
He said the practice where some officers collect payments from ‘clients’, in the full glare of civilian gives a very bad impression to the ordinary onlooker who is of the opinion that some corruption is taking place in his/her very presence and advised them to desist from such conduct.
Mr. Sarpong advised personnel to treat every client with professionalism, extend to them all the care, kindness and understanding they can muster to leave a good impression in their minds about the country.
