A seven week nationwide training has been organized for personnel of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) to sensitize them on the GIS Legal Handbook with sponsorship from the European Union.
The objective of the training was to build the capacity of participants to better understand, interpret and enforce immigration and other related laws competently.Read more.......

The Project Officer for International Centre for Migration Project Development, (ICMPD) Lamine Daffe, has said that West Africa provides the strongest example of intraregional migration flow in sub-Saharan Africa, with 70 per cent of migratory movement is within the sub-region. The Chinese Embassy has donated items worth one hundred thousand Cedis (Gh¢ 100.000.00) to the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS).
